In 2004 I was awarded a National Teaching Fellowship by the Academy of Higher Education, UK; my fellowship project is exploring the global dimension to learning in HE. I work in the UK and overseas mainly in Africa, the Indian sub-continent and more recently South America, on projects which include literacy, conflict resolution, introducing global perspectives into initial teacher education, training of trainers and health care education. My areas of interest include participatory methodologies, collaborative partnerships, training of facilitators, gender, curriculum design, adult literacy, conflict resolution, monitoring and evaluation.
